Who could have ever imagined that what began with two,
possibly wood or bone, hand-knitting needles has, today,
turned into a very necessary part of everyone's wardrobe.
We see and wear tubular knitted hose, circular knitted
jerseys for sportswear, warp knits for lingerie and heavier
flat knit gauges for sweaters.
As with wovens, the history of knitwear began primarily
with wool or silk yarns spun from nature's best. Then
today's technology has allowed for the creative expansion
into man-made polyesters and other synthetics used for
high performance wear.
Our myriad selection of stitches covers all knitting
techniques from the most basic of rib and purl stitches
to raschel and intricate cabling treatments. Within
our many different categories of knitwear designs
you can see a range of stripes, jacquards, plaids,
argyles and prints.
